How will I be paid?

We pay commissions out on a monthly basis. After commissions are tabulated, SchoolClick.com will send you a check or deposit funds into your bank account to ensure timely payment.

What do I need to become an affiliate?

All you need is a Web site. This can be a blog or forum where you talk about your experiences in college or your interest in a certain type of education program. It could also be a collection of sites that are ranked for natural search terms—it’s up to you. Affiliates also have the option of running paid search campaigns, banner ads or sending out newsletters to a customer base opted-in to hear from you.

What if my Web site is outside of the United States?

Do I need a business license to become an affiliate?

Individuals can join just as easily as a business can. Upon registration, you will just need to enter your social security number for tax purposes. Businesses will enter a Tax ID or business license number.

Can I become an affiliate if I don’t have a Web site?

All affiliates should have a completed and operational Web site to meet our criteria for acceptance. If you have other methods for generating leads please contact the affiliate management team to discuss potential opportunities.

How do cookies work?

Whenever a visitor enters one of our sites from yours, a cookie is set in their browser that tracks the source of the visit back to you. This cookie will last for up to 120 days. Unless your prospect has submitted a lead through another source, this means that your visitor can return at a later time to finish a form and you’ll still get credit.

What is a lead?

SchoolClick.com represents campus-based universities, career training colleges, and online schools across the United States and Canada. Whenever someone shows interest in going to a particular school, they fill out a lead form that the school uses to contact the individual to discuss their education options.

As an affiliate, you are paid for every valid lead that is submitted to our sites. A valid lead is generally comprised of complete contact information, as well as information on what program they are interested in learning about.

What is a qualified lead?

A lead is deemed to be qualified, and will be accepted for payment by the school if it meets basic contact info and student profile qualifications set by the school. These requirements vary by school, but are identical to the requirements you are used to with aggregators.

What are scrubbed leads?

Occasionally, your account will be credited with a pending lead that will be scrubbed later. Typically, a lead is scrubbed because the school determines that a lead has been submitted with false or fraudulent information. These leads are removed from the system and never contacted or used by the school. This approach protects both you and the school. Bad leads are not counted against your performance scores, your lead quality goes up, and you will be eligible for higher per-lead payouts.

How are leads tracked?

When a user clicks on the banners, buttons and text links you place on your site, they are driven to a form page that is hosted by SchoolClick.com. This form page automatically tracks your impressions, clicks and leads through your unique affiliate ID that is assigned once you sign up for the program.

What types of bonuses are offered to high-performing affiliates?

We wholeheartedly support affiliates that demonstrate the ability to generate high-quality leads, regardless of volume. Contact a representative to learn more about our bonus programs.
